Salvador Dali
Salvador Dali, as well as having the world's best moustache, was also a pretty good artist too. Probably known best for his surrealist works such as 'The Persistence of Memory' (that one with the melting clocks in it), he was an excellent draftsmen and was never limited to just one particular style or media. He produced an amazing amount of oils, watercolours, drawings, graphics, and sculptures, films, photographs, performance pieces, jewels and objects of all descriptions, even collaborating on a short cartoon with Walt Disney and a film with Alfred Hitchcock.
Although renowned for his eccentricity, his creativity truly raised the bar for the standard of art in the twentieth century.
